Guided Evening Meditation by Louise Hay for Gratitude and Affirmations

In this post I just wanted to share one of the best guided evening meditations I’ve listened to in a while. The recording is by Louise Hay, and offers an excellent way to wind down from your day and offer a series of positive affirmations based in gratitude, appreciation, and love.

I encourage you to try out this meditation in the evening, just a short while before bed. Evening is one of the best times to meditate as it helps you to recenter your body’s energy and create a peaceful night’s sleep.

This meditation is particularly powerful because it centers around the use of affirmations. This means that in addition to helping you relax and quiet your mind, you are also reprogramming your mind for success, health, and well-being in all areas of your life. You can also read more about how to use positive affirmations in this

Have you thought about starting a meditation practice? I began meditating many years ago using a mantra. This can be an Indian Sanskrit word like om or hu, or a soothing word such as love or peace.

You may use a phrase such as I Am Love or All Is Well. Or it can be as simple and powerful as doing mirror work to improve your self-esteem and well-being.

If you want to learn more about mirror work, check out my 21-Day course on mirror work that I did with my dear friend Robert Holden, Ph.D. Mirror work is so powerful because self-love is one of the most healing gifts you can give yourself.

The Start of Something New and Healing

Before I learned how to meditate daily, I was so uptight and frightened at the time. And every time I meditated I would get a headache.

This lasted for three weeks. As my body and mind began to relax, perhaps for the first time in my life, the headaches went away.

I have been meditating ever since, and I have attended many classes over the years. They each offer a slightly different method of meditation. All methods have benefits, although they may not be right for you.

Many people try to start a daily meditation practice, but they never get started because they think that there are rules to follow or they worry they are not doing it right.

I want to share with you 8 simple steps so you can practice your own 5-minute meditation daily.

Mindful Science Center

Mindfulness is the art of being in the moment, in the here and now. To be mindful is to be fully aware of the present experience. By maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens we can
make Mindfulness a way of our life.

Mindful Science Center (MSC) strives to promote and integrate Mindfulness in individual lives using science based innovative training methods. Our robust training programmers of Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence based on Neuroscience are designed to help reduce suffering, promote resilience, and realise human potential across the lifespan.

A 5-Minute Meditation to Open Your Heart

Breathe in and breathe out and just let go of all that stuff that is stuck inside you.

This is a special day and we don’t want to carry any old stuff with us.

Put one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly. And as you breathe quietly, notice how comforting that feels. Be aware that you can do this anytime and anywhere and take care of yourself.

You can make yourself feel better with simple gestures and your own breathe. How it calms you down. It lets yesterday go. It gives you a feeling of safety. You are here for yourself. And as you release yesterday and even this moment, you allow your full attention to come into this day, this hour, this time. Turn your full attention to this wonderful, wonderful day.

Let your heart open and make room for all the good of the Universe to come in.

Meditation is one of the best gifts you can give to your body. It loves and supports you every day, and it feels good to give it something in return.

Like anything else in life, find the method of meditation that works best for you. You can start with my Morning Meditation on Hay House’s new Meditation Podcast.

And if you are interested in doing mirror work for your daily meditation practice, I encourage you to try the 21-Day course on mirror work that I created along with my dear friend, and Success Intelligence coach, Robert Holden, Ph.D.

Whatever method you adopt, you may choose to change methods over the years. And I am sure you will.

Remember, meditation is merely a way of you getting in touch with your own inner guidance. While we are always connected with this guidance as we go about our day, it is easier for us to consciously connect when we sit quietly and listen.

Mind Saver

I listened to this tape every morning and evening faithfully when I was experiencing extreme anxiety. I had just found out my son had cancer. I could not sleep or eat focus or concentrate. The meditations helped me rest at night which was a wonderful gift. In the morning it helped me face the new day.

Don’t think you have to be anxious to listen to this program. It is wonderful and I would not be without it. Louise Hay has such a soothing voice and such wisdom. Highly recommended.

Louise has a lovely voice and is passionate about helping people improve their lives. I use the morning meditation frequently and find it effective. (I tend to fall asleep during any evening meditations.)

my favorite meditations!

This is THE best way to start and end the day. Louise Hay’s pleasing tone and uplifting words truly help to create the day I want.

Perfect Meditation, Both Morning and Evening

The morning meditation helps bring to mind everything we can be grateful for. You see the blessings instead of the lack. The night meditation is equally beneficial. You relax totally, let go of negative emotions, and prepare your mind for peaceful sleep. Gratitude and letting go…two very important healthy steps…coupled with Louise’s saintly voice and words!

Just what I was needing…

Amazing way to start and end my day! So many profound ideas to consider and reflect on. Part of my daily routine now. Thank you Louise for your wonderful insights.

I had this meditation on cassette tape years ago. Lost it and could not find it anywhere. I am so please I found it here. It helped me in the past to relax and focus on the simplicity of life.

Now I can take that journey into relaxation again.

I would not recommend.

The recording is old and VERY poor quality. There is also bad piano music in the background that doesn’t is more annoying than soothing. I would not recommend this.
